Living is expensive. Living as a college student is expensive. Time is short. Money is tight. McDonald's tastes good? Pizza is cheap. EZ Mac is.... easy. But so is living well. I promise.
Another short, simple truth: cooking is fun. Well, it can be. Sometimes it's "URGH I WANT TO RIP OUT ALL OF MY HAIR!" frustrating*. And sometimes its disappointing. But its all part of the big picture. Don't believe me? Why are you at school? What, you want to be a grown up? You want to make a positive impact on the world you live in? You want to be independent, financially responsible and self-sufficient? With hot abs?
Regardless of what Jared tells you on television, accomplishing any of those things is going awfully tough when you are suckling the teat of industrial home meal replacement. So grow up. Get a knife. And get in the kitchen.
*Generally the result of 1) poor planning, 2) blind ambition, 3) insufficient workspace (we'll talk about that)
